State’s Tourism Strategy Presented at
Delaware Tourism Alliance General Member Meeting

Wilmington, DE, April 16, 2004—More than 40 people involved in the business of tourism in the First State gathered at the Sheraton Dover Hotel earlier this month to learn what’s in store for the tourism industry in Delaware at the Delaware Tourism Alliance (DTA) general member meeting. A presentation by Delaware Development Office (DEDO) director, Judy McKinney-Cherry and Kay Wheatley, chair of the Governor’s Tourism Advisory Board and DTA board member provided Alliance members with specific details on how the recent reorganization of DEDO will help tourism in Delaware.

The Delaware Tourism Alliance is a coalition in which members act as advocates for strategic tourism growth and management for the benefit of the economic well-being of the state of Delaware. For more information about DTA, visit detourismalliance.com or call Coley duPont at (302)-655-1552 or toll-free (outside Wilmington) at 800-848-1552.
